Subang, Kabarsebelas.com – Memasuki musim kemarau ratusan hektar sawah di Kabupaten Subang mengalami kekeringan. Wilayah Subang bagian pantura Desa Rawameneng, Kecamatan Blanakan adalah yang terparah terkena dampak dari kemarau panjang ini. Selain banyaknya saluran irigasi yang rusak juga rendahnya intensitas curah hujan menjadi penyebab sawah kekeringan.
Kurang lebih selama dua bulan terakhir air sudah tidak mengalir ke areal persawahan warga di daerah tersebut, sehingga ratusan hektar areal persawahan belum bisa di tanami padi.
Kini untuk mengatasi kekeringan sejumlah petani terpaksa memakai pompa air meski biaya yang di keluarkan cukup tinggi, bahkan demi sawahnya bisa teraliri air sejumlah petani nekad menggunakan air irigasi yang sudah tercemar limbah.
Menurut, Bakri salah seorang petani, dengan kondisi kekeringan saat ini selain menyebabkan harga beras melonjak juga di khawatirkan berpengaruh pada masa cocok tanam.
“akibat kemarau ratusan hektar sawah tak bisa di tanami sehingga berpengaruh terhadap masa cocok tanam dan melonjaknya harga beras,”Kata Bakri, Minggu (7/7/2019)
Petani berharap pemerintah segera turun tangan untuk mengatasi kekeringan ini karena akan berpengaruh terhadap kelangsungan hidup para petani. (AHD)
