Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Satlantas Polres Karawang sudah melakukan berbagai cara untuk mengurangi tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas mulai upaya prepentif sampai represif dengan melakukan penilangan pada pengemudi kendaraan baik roda dua maupun roda empat.
Kasat Lantas Polres Karawang, AKP Bariu Bawana menyebut, jika terjadinya kecelakaan itu banyak faktornya salah satunya adalah karena tidak taatnya pengendara roda dua dan kendaraan roda empat pada aturan lalu lintas, selanjutnya faktor kelelahan, kondisi infrastruktur dan faktor cuaca.
“Untuk itu kami terus melakukan pembinaan sebagai langkah prepentif agar pengendara mematuhi aturan berlalu lintas,” ucap Bariu saat di wawancarai Kabarsebelas.com, Kamis (22/08/2019).
Jika sudah dibina, lanjut Bariu, tapi aturan seperti memiliki surat izin mengemudi dan surat lainnya tidak ada, maka perlu dilakukan upaya penilangan supaya pengendara roda dua dan pengendara roda empat tahu aturannya.
Selain itu, pihaknya juga sudah melakukan koordinasi dengan instansi terkait, khususnya Dinas PUPR agar jalan yang rusak segera diperbaiki. “Sejauh ini jalan kewenangan kabupaten sudah cukup baik. Tinggal diperlebar di beberapa titik,” katanya.
Ketika ditanya seringnya terjadi kecelakaan di jalan baru karawang, Bariu mengatakan, perbaikkan jalan itu kewenangan pemerintah pusat, khususnya kementerian PU. Namun, pihaknya juga sudah meminta dinas PUPR agar berkoordinasi dengan kementerian PU agar segera diselesaikan perbaikkan jalannya.
“Setiap ada rapat koordinasi dengan Pemkab Karawang kami selalu minta agar perbaikkan dipercepat dan memasang rambu-rambu agar tidak terjadi kecelakaan,” pungkasnya. (Amoy)
