Subang Kabarsebelas.com – Ratusan hektar tanaman padi di pantura Kabupaten Subang Jawa barat rusak diserang hama tikus, akibatnya petani rugi lima juta rupiah perhektar.
Hama tkus menyerang tanaman padi berumur satu minggu hingga satu bulan, areal tanaman padi paling parah akibat serangan hama tikus terjadi di blok Pesawahan, Desa Pinangsari, Kecamatan Ciasem, dan Blok Pesawahan Tegal Panjang, Desa Rawa Mekar, Kecamatan Blanakan Subang.
“Tanaman padi jadi rusak daun padi merah dan lambat laun mati, akibat dati serangan hama tikus tersebut, para petani merugi hingga 5 juta rupiah perhektarnya,”Ujar Wahid, Selasa (17/9/2019)
Kemudian kata Wahid, meskipun para petani telah melakukan perburuan tikus dan melakukan basmi tikus dengan racun, namun hama tikus semakin merajalela. Bahkan agar tanaman padinya tidak di serang hama tikus para petani harus mengeluarkan biaya tambahan dengan membuat pagar dari plastik di sekeliling sawah.
“Untuk itu petani minta dinas terkait proaktif membantu masalah ini dengan memberikan bantuan bibit padi,”pintanya.(Ahid)
