Karawang, kabarsebelas.com – Kesenian Karinding dan Debus Kapatri menjadi perhatian masyarakat dalam acara Gebyar Paten di Kecamatan Purwasari, Rabu (30/10/19).
Kesenia musik karinding dan kekebalan tubuh itu merupakan kesenian asli dari Indonesia yang harus terus dilestarikan.
Penggagas Karinding dan Debus Kapatri, Abah Nji Plung (39) mengatakan, grup karinding ini didirikan 3 tahun yang lalu. Dibentuknya grup seni ini sebab ada kekhawatiran pada pemuda sekarang yang tidak tahu seni budaya karuhun sunda khususnya karinding.
“Seringnya berkumpul dengan para pemuda sehingga tercetuslah ide membuat grup seni, sebab karinding dan debus harus di lestarikan,” ucapnya.
Dikatakan Abah Nji, saat ini sangat jarang yang melestarikan kesenian khususnya pemuda, oleh sebab itu harus dikembangkan. Tidak hanya karinding yang dikembangkan tapi juga dibarengi oleh penampilan aksi debus.
“Cara kita mempopulerkan kesenian ini awalnya dari mulut ke mulut untuk tampil dalam berbagai kegiatan,” katanya.
Ia menambahkan, grup kesenian ini sudah manggung ke beberapa tempat di pelosok-pelosok Karawang. Dengan cara menampilkan kesenian ini, diharapkan kesenian asli Indonesia ini bisa terus dikembangkan.
“Kami sempat tidak dibayar dalam menampilkan kesenian, tapi kami maju terus karena kecintaan kami pada seni,” ucapnya.
Dijelaskannya, untuk menampilkan seni sempat kekurangan alat kesenian, namun ada anggota DPRD yang memberikan gendang untuk bisa menampilkan kesenian ini. “Saat ini kita memiliki alat, walaupun belum lengkap oleh karena itu merupakan swadaya dari kelompok kami saja,” katanya.
Kita mengajak kaum muda untuk ikut melestarikan budaya sunda dan umumnya Indonesia. “Harapan kami pemerintah lebih peduli pada kesenian dengan melengkapi fasilitas alat untuk menampilkan seni dan budaya ini,” tutupnya. (AMOY)
