Bandung, KabarSebelas.com – Persatuan Pencak Silat Indonesia (PPSI) Sunda Medal Pusaka menggelar acara ‘Mesat Gobang Kabuyutan’ guna melestarikan budaya leluhur, Minggu (24/11/2019).
Bahkan, tradisi kebudayaan sunda yang digelar di Kampung Kabuyudan, Desa Pasirjambu, Kecamatan Pasirjambu, Bandung, ini sangat dinikmati masyarakat setempat.
“Ini merupakan bentuk upaya para kasepuhan menyelamatkan akar budaya yang nyaris terserabut dari akarnya,” kata anggota PPSI Sunda Medal Pusaka.
Acara budaya ini juga dihadiri para kasesepuhan, paguron, pegiat lingkungan, budayawan, ulama, serta berbagai organisasi masyarakat dan kepemudaan.
“Guyub, meriah, dan reugreug begitulah yang saya rasakan. Ternyata kegiatan sarat unsur budaya masih cukup populer di kalangan masyarakat Kabupaten Bandung,” kata Wakil Ketua Bidang Kebudayaan DPD PDI Perjuangan Jawa Barat, Sofia Yulinar.
Karena budaya sunda sejalan dengan filosofi pancasila, kata dia, PDI Perjuangan konsen dalam penguatan kebudayaan sunda menuju puncak budaya nasional.
“Kebudayaan lokal harus tumbuh subur dan mengakar di masyarakat, dan itu adalah sikap PDI Perjuangan untuk kemajuan bangsa. Karena tidak ada bangsa yang maju yang meningalkan budayanya,” pungkas Sofia. (red)
