Bekasi, Kabarsebelas.com – Kanal penanggulangan banjir dengan panjang satu kilometer lebih akan dibangun di Kota Bekasi, Jawa Barat. Duitnya pun sudah disiapakan oleh Kementerian PUPR RI sekitar Rp 4 triliun.
Kepala Bidang (Kabid) Perencanaan Bappeda Kota Bekasi, Erwin Gwinda mengatakan, kanal sepanjang satu kilometer lebih itu akan dibangun di sekitaran Perumahan Pondok Gede Permai (PGP) Jatiasih.
Oleh karenanya, kata dia, bakal ada pembebasan lahan maksimal 20 meter dari tanggul yang ada sekarang. “Pemerintah pusat membantu pembebasan lahan warga Perumahan PGP,” kata Erwin, Minggu (26/1/2020).
Wali Kota Bekasi Rahmat Effendi menyebut, bahwa kanal yang akan dibangun itu membentang dari mulai Perumahan Vila Nusa Indah sampai dengan Jembatan Bojongmenteng.
Kanal itu, kata Wali Kota Rhmat Effendi, dibangun menyerupai sebuah bendungan yang membentang. “Dibuat semacam dam,” ujarnya.
Opsi untuk merelokasi penduduk di PGP tidak jadi dilakukan, kata Wali Kota Rhmat Effendi, pemerintah hanya mengambil sebian lahan di pinggir Kali Bekasi yang menghubungkan Kali Cikeas dan Kali Cileungsi. (red)
