Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Politisi PDI Perjuangan, dr Yessi Karya Lianti berencana memberikan bantuan ke 14 kecamatan di Kabupaten Karawang, Jawa Barat, yang terkena bencana banjir.
“Rencananya juga semua yang terdampak banjir akan kita berikan bantuan,” kata dr Yessi saat menyalurkan bantuan di Desa Telukbuyung, Kecamatan Pakisjaya, Kabupaten Karawang, Kamis (27/2/2020) sore.
Bakal Calon Bupati (Balonbup) Karawang ini pun berinisiatif akan memfasilitasi warga yang terserang penyakit akibat musibah banjir tersebut, setelah melihat kondisi dilapangan.
“Kita juga lihat kondisi bantuan apa yang dibutuhkan, misalnya seperti pengobatan gratis itu akan kita lakukan,” ujar dr Yessi.
Direktur Utama RS Rosela ini juga menyentil kinerja Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Karawang, yang tak kunjung mampu menyelesaikan persoalan banjir.
“Sangat miris dengan kondisi ini, artinya PR kedepan bagaimana caranya menyelesaikan persoalan banjir ini,” imbuh dr Yessi.
Banjir melanda 14 kecamatan di Kabupaten Karawang, sekitar 11.212 keluarga yang terdiri dari 32,961 jiwa tak luput menjadi korbannya.
Akibatnya, 10.529 unit rumah warga terendam dengan ketinggian air bervariasi, mulai dari 30 centimeter sampai 2 meter.
Musibah banjir di Kabupaten Karawang terjadi akibat tingginya curah hujan dan disusul meluapnya beberapa sungai. (vzay)
