Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Kelangkaan masker menjadi isu yang hangat semenjak virus corona menyerang masyarakat di Indonesia. Ikatan Jurnalis Televisi Indonesia (IJTI) Korda Karawang prihatin atas kelangkaan masker khususnya di Kanupaten Karawang.
Atas hal tersebut IJTI Korda Karawang membagikan masker gratis kepada penumpang Kereta Api di Stasiun Kereta Api Karawang, Jumat (13/3/2020)
Pembagian masker diberikan langsung kepada para penumpang yang hendak menaiki kereta api atau turun dari kereta api.
Ketua IJTI Korda Karawang, Syamsu Nursyam mengatakan, kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk kepedulian organisasi IJTI terhadap isu mewabahnya virus Corona di tengah masyarakat.
Selain itu, kegiatan bagi bagi masker ini juga merupakan bentuk keprihatinan karena sulitnya warga mendapatkan masker di pasaran.
Bahkan tambah Syamsu, walaupun ada harganya bisa mencapai ratusan ribu rupiah untuk per-dusnya. Padahal sebelum merebaknya virus Corona, harga masker hanya di jual 30 ribu rupiah per- dusnya.
“Organisasi IJTI ikut peduli terhadap keresahan masyarakat atas mewabahnya virus Corona. Dan, kita juga melihat bahwa sekarang ini kelangkaan masker itu sangat menjadi problem di masyarakat,” Kata Syamsu.
Syamsu menambahkan, kegiatan pembagian masker ini rencananya tidak hanya akan dilakukan di stasiun Karawang, melainkan lokasi lain seperti Terminal yang merupakan pintu keluar dan masuk masyarakat. Hari ini, sebanyak 6 dus masker telah habis dibagikan.
“Insyallah lokasi lain juga akan dilakukan pembagian masker secara gratis, seperti Terminal. karena lokasi itu, merupakan titik masuk dan keluarnya penumpang,” katanya.
“Tapi yang terpenting, saya berharap Pemerintah bisa mendengar keluhan masyarakat, atas kelangkaan masker saat ini,” pintanya.
Kegiatan ini disambut antuasias dan tanggapan positif dari penumpang. sebab selama ini warga kesulitan untuk mendapatkan masker.
“Ini kegiatan positif dan sangat membantu masyarakat. Sebab saya mencari masker sulit pak,”ujar Hj Enah seorang penumpang Kerata Api.(red)
