Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Dewan Pimpinan Cabang (DPC) Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP) Karawang menggelar perlombaan Musabaqah Hifdzil Quran (MHQ) tingkat SMP dan SMA sederajat.
Perlombaan yang digelar di kantor DPC PDI Perjuangan Karawang, Jalan Rangga Gede nomor 125 itu berlangsung sampai 15 Maret 2020. Pemenang lomba MHQ yang diikuti 42 pelajar ini nantinya akan dipertandingkan ke tingkat Jawa Barat, pada 22 Maret 2020 mendatang.
Ketua DPC PDIP Karawang, Taufik Ismail mengatakan, bahwa partai politik dibawah kepemimpinan Ketua Umum DPP PDIP Megawati Soekarno Putri berkomitmen menjadi partai pelopor dalam berbagai program kerakyatan.
“Kegiatan ini juga dalam rangka mendukung Karawang yang religius,” kata politisi yang kerap disapa Kang Pipik kepada awak media, Sabtu (14/3/2020).
Dirinya menegaskan kalau perlombaan MHQ ini merupakan upaya agar masyarakat Karawang mencintai, membaca, memahami, serta mengimplementasikan Al Qur`an dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
“Saya mengucapkan terima-kasih kepada semua pihak dan selamat kepada para peserta yang tengah berkompetisi. Dan tetap jaga sportivitas,” ucapnya.
Di tempat yang sama, perwakilan Kemenag Karawang, Ustad Asep Nanang mengapresiasi perlombaan MHQ yang dihelat PDIP ini. “Semoga ini bukan yang pertama tapi untuk seterusnya,” ujarnya. (red)
