Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Ketua Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19 Karawang, Ahmad Zamakhsyari menyebut belum waktunya Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) diterapkan di seluruh wilayah Karawang.
“Karawang masih belum diperlukan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar,” ujar Jimmy sapaan akrabnya kepada awak media Selasa (14/4/2020) di Karawang.
Jimmy yang juga menjabat Wakil Bupati Karawang menjelaskan, kalaupun PSBB itu diterapkan, hanya untuk Kecamatan Telukjambe Timur dan Karawang Barat. Sebab, lanjutnya, kasus penyebaran Covid-19 di wilayah itu kian meningkat.
“Kecuali di dua Kecamatan yah Telukjambe Timur dan Karawang Barat. Yang dua kecamatan itu sebaran Covid19-nya sangat signifikan,” jelasnya.
Jimmy menegaskan, bukan menunggu wilayah lain di Karawang terpapar Covid19 terlebih dahulu baru diterapkan PSBB. Akan tetapi, lanjutnya, hingga saat ini 28 kecamatan itu masih kondusif.
“28 kecamatan masih dalam kategori aman dan nyaman, sirkulasi ekonomi pasar tradisional juga berjalan dengan lancar dan dengan baik,” tegasnya.
Jimmy menuturkan, wacana Bupati Cellica Nurrachadiana yang akan menerapkan PSBB di Karawang itu hanyalah bentuk kekhawatiran karena sempat terinveksi Covid-19.
“Kalaupun Ibu Bupati sempat mewacanakan PSBB, itu kan hanya kekhawatiran saja. Kekhawatiran beliau yang sempat mengalami positif (Covid-19),” tandasnya. (red)
