Purwakarta, Kabarsebelas.com – Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) Bandung memperkirakan Wilayah Jawa Barat bakal memasuki musim kemarau pada akhir Mei 2020.
Terkait hal tersebut anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) Provinsi Jawa Barat Fraksi PDI Perjuangan Iis Turniasih mengingatkan sejumlah daerah yang memiliki krisis air bersih di musim kemarau. Salah satunya adalah Kabupaten Purwakarta.
“Musim kemarau tahun lalu, di Purwakarta sebanyak 15 desa yang tersebar di 11 kecamatan mengalami kekeringan panjang,” kata Iis Jumat (12/6/2020)
Menurut Iis, hal ini terus berulang setiap musim kemarau. Ia mengimbau agar Pemerintah Daerah bersinergi dengan Pemerintah Provinsi untuk menyiapkan program pengelolaan air bersih.
“Harus diantisipasi sejak sekarang, mulai dari pengadaan sumber air bersihnya sampai dengan pipanisasi,” tuturnya.
Ia menambahkan dari hasil pemantauannya, kondisi krisis air di lapangan bisa lebih dari 15 desa. Iis menambahkan, tidak semua desa melaporkan atau meminta bantuan distribusi air bersih karena bencana kekeringan.
“Bila kesulitan air bersih, warga harus melapor jangan sungkan-sungkan,” tandasnya. (red)
