Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Ditengah Pandemi Covid-19 Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Kabupaten Karawang akan menyelengaran Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) 2020. Untuk dukungan pelayanan kesehatan dalam penyelenggaran Pilkada Desember 2020 nanti maka KPU Kabupaten Karawang menandatangi kerjasama MoU dengan Gugus Tugas Karawang, Kamis (16/7/2020) di Makodim 0604 Karawang.
MoU tersebut terkait dengan tahapan Pilkada di masa Pandemi yang menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi penyelengaraa yang sangat rentan terpapar dan menularkan virus Corona tersebut.
Nota kesepakatan di tandatangi langsung oleh Ketua KPU Karawang Miftah Farid, Ketua Gugus Tugas Kabupaten Karawang Cellica Nurachadiana dan Plt Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Karawang Nanik Djojana.
Ketua KPU Karawang Miftah Farid menjelaskan nota kesepahaman itu untuk mendukung pemeriksaan kesehatan bagi penyelenggara pemilu di tingkat bawah.
“Semua institusi kesehatan yang ada lapangan akan menjadi mitra kami. Intinya adalah agar pelaksanaan pilkada 2020 tidak menjadi cluster baru penyebaran covid-19,”kata Farid.
Selain dengan Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanggulangan Covid-19 dan Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Karawang, KPU Karawang menandatangani naskah kerjasama dengan Kodim 0604 Karawang, dalam hal pengamanan keseluruhan tahapan.
“Sebelumnya dengan Polres dan Kejaksaan Negeri Karawang,”terangnya
Sementara, Ketua Gugus Tugas Karawang Cellica Nurachadiana mengapresiasi KPU Karawang dengan nota kesepahaman tersebut. MoU tersebut menjadi bukti komitmen pelaksanaan Pilkada ditengah Pandemi sebagai bentuk usaha untuk memutus mati rantai penyebaran covid-19.
Seperti diketahui di Karawang masih ada pasien yang terkonfirmasi positif covid-19. Oleh karena itu, pelaksanaan pilkada yang rencannya digelar Desember 2020 mendatang tidak menjadi cluster baru penyebaran Covid-19 baru.
“Kami ingin pesta demokrasi ini tidak menjadi cluster baru. Tahapan sesuai protokol kesehatan perlu di jalankan,”katanya.(rls)
