Kabarsebelas.com – Bendungan Cipancuh satu satunya yang ada di Indramayu belum sepenuhnya mengaliri semua sawah petani. Menilai hal tersebut Anggota DPRD Jawa Barat dari Fraksi PDI Perjuangan Hilal Hilmawan menginginkan ada pembangunan waduk untuk menampung air agar selama musim kemarau persawahan di Indramayu bisa terairi.
“Karena sejauh inikan waduk yang ada belum menyentuh desa-desa yang ada diujung, sehingga airnya telat mengalir,” kata Hilal, Rabu (22/7/2020).
Dia menyebut, Indramayu adalah salah satu lumbung padi Nasional, jadi sanamgat penting adanya waduk penampung air, agar nantinya para petani saat datang musim tanam tidak kesulitan air.
Jika air sulit di dapatkan, lanjut Hilal di takutkan sawah-sawah ini bakal mengalami kekeringan, sehingga dapat berpengaruh terhadap hasil tani masyarakat.
“Saya sudah sering bicara dengan Kadis Pertanian Jawa Barat soal waduk, Namun, APBD Provinsi tidak sanggup untuk mewujudkan itu, jadi persoalan ini harus pusat yang menangani,”ungkap Hilal
Hilal yang berangkat jadi anggota DPRD dari Dapil Indramayu, Kabupaten Cirebon dan Kota Cirebon ini terus mengupayakan agar Pemerintah Provinsi dan DPRD Jabar mendorong persoalan ini kepada Pemerintah pusat agar segera terealisasi pembanguan waduk di Indramayu. Pasalnya, sejauh ini upaya yang sering dilakukan petani agar air bisa mengalir ke pesawahan yaitu dengan melakukan normalisasi saluran pembutan irigasi.
“Paling petani melakukan normalisasi di saluran pesawahan atau dengan pompa air agar sawahnya tidak kekeringan,”pungkasnya.(red)
