Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Kasus terkonfirmasi virus corona di Karawang bertambah cukup banyak. Yakni 14 orang dinyatakan positif virus corona, hasil dari tracking Tim Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19 Kabupaten Karawang, Senin 27 Juli 2020.
Jumlah tersebut merupakan jumlah penambahan pasien paling banyak selama pandemi virus corona di Karawang sejak kasus pertama. Juru bicara GTPP Covid-19 Karawang, dr. Fitra Hergyana Sp.KK menuturkan, ke-14 orang tersebut berasal dari klaster kelompok masyarakat di Kecamatan Telukjambe Timur.
Ia menuturkan, pasca ditemukannya kasus pertama di kelompok masyarakat tersebut, lalu diketahui ada 6 orang lainnya yang ternyata juga terpapar virus corona. “Setelah itu kita langsung karantina dan menutup sementara salah satu pondok pesantren. Kita ambil swab terhadap orang-orang kontak erat. Hasilnya bertambah 14 orang lainnya positif,” tandasnya, Senin (27/7/2020)
Adanya penambahan 14 orang ini menunjukkan adanya lonjakan jumlah orang terinfeksi virus corona cukup tinggi di Karawang. Hal itu menunjukkan bahwa virus ini sangat cepat menular kepada orang-orang sekitar. Dalam satu minggu ini tercatat sudah 32 orang terkonfirmasi positif.
“Di satu sisi kita cukup kaget adanya klaster baru dan banyak yang terinfeksi, satu sisi kita juga bersyukur karena kita bisa cepat mengantisipasi penyebaran virus. Kita langsung tracing semua yang kontak erat,” katanya.(red)
