Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Ketua Serikat Media Siber Indonesia (SMSI) Jawa Barat resmi melantik pengurus SMSI Kabupaten Karawang masa bakti 2020-2025, Selasa (25/08/20) di Britz Hotel Karawang.
“Dengan dilantiknya pengurus di Kabupaten Karawang ini, mudah-mudahan bisa mempererat silaturahmi dan menguatkan jaringan media siber di daerah,” kata Hardiansyah, Ketua SMSI Provinsi Jawa Barat.
Selain tempat berkumpulnya pemilik media, ujar Hardiansyah, dengan terbentuknya SMSI di Kabupaten Karawang, maka akan meningkatkan peran serta media dalam mempublikasikan berbagai capaian pembangunan, juga untuk kontrol sosial.
Lanjut Herdiansyah, SMSI bertujuan agar media menjadi garda terdepan dalam menyampikan informasi yang berkualitas, bisa dipercayai oleh masyarakat dan mengedukasi masyarakat tentang berita yang benar dan akurat serta bersinergi kepada pemerintah.
Hadir dalam pelantikan tersebut, pengurus SMSI Provinsi Jawa Barat, ketua SMSI Bekasi Raya, Doni Ardon didampingi wakil ketua bidang ekraf Dadang Marasabessy, Wakil Bupati Karawang Akhmad Zamakshari, Sekda Kabupaten Karawang Acep Jamhuri, Ketua DPRD, Kasubag Humas Polres Karawang, Ketua KNPI, dan sejumlah pemilik media di Kabupaten Karawang.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut ketua SMSI Kabupaten Karawang, Nurdin Peles, menyampaikan rasa syukurnya dengan telah terbentuknya organisasi tersebut. Menurutnya, SMSI sebagai salah satu organisasi yang sudah menjadi konstituen Dewan Pers akan memberikan khasanah baru dalam penyampaian pesan yang berimbang bagi publik.
“Alhamdulillah sudah terbentuk SMSI Karawang. Semoga kita bisa menampilkan wajah baru di media online di Karawang ke arah yang lebih baik lagi,” ucap Nurdin.(vzay)
