Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Rektor Universitas Negri Singaperbangsa Karawang (Unsika) Sri Mulyani meluruskan soal uang pangkal yang sedang ramai dipersoalkan di media sosial belakangan ini yang di keluhkan orang tua siswa.
Menurut Sri Mulyani, mahasiswa yang masuk jalur mandiri hingga dikenakan uang pangkal sebesar Rp 40 juta nantinya uang tersebut akan dialokasikan untuk membangun fasilitas kampus, agar rangking Unsika tidak di bawah.
“Jangan khawatir, kami orang-orang yang peduli keberlangsungan pendidikan di Indonesia, kami punya kendala, ada 170 program kecil dan 70 program besar yang pendanaanya belum ada,” kata Sri, kepada wartawan, Jum’at (11/9/2020) di aula Unsika.

Diakuinya, untuk mencapai kinerja pengembangan kampus, ada indikator pekerjaan utama, diantaranya keunggulan perguruan tinggi dan operasional sehari-hari. Kata dia, kinerja yang ditargetkan ini akan membedakan cara kerja Unsika dengan kampus lain.
“Pada tahap membangun kita ingin ada kinerja yang dicapai, tetapi belum terakomodir oleh anggaran yang ada. Anggaran kita selama ini bisa membangun, tapi tidak bisa merawat,” jelasnya sambil menunjukan sejumlah bangunan yang tak terawat dan gelap.
Dia menyebutkan, ada 121 indikator kinerja dan 70 program, 8 diantaranya kinerja utama dari Kemendikbud yang terbaru. Program ini belum ada anggarannya, meski ada sifatnya hanya operasional bukan untuk infrastruktur. Padahal, perguruan tinggi di Indonesia diminta untuk berinovasi sesuai kemampuan.
“Itulah yang kemudian menjadi salah satu penyebab, maka kami per semester ini mengadakan iuran pengembangan institusi, tapi tidak untuk semua jalur mahasiswa,” jelasnya.
Dia menyebutkan, tahun ini diperkirakan mahasiswa baru yang mendaftar ke Unsika mencapai 1.000 orang, kemudian ada 400 mahasiswa yang dibebaskan biayanya, sehingga estimasi uang pangkal yang dipungut ke mahasiswa baru mencapai Rp11 miliar.
“Rp11 miliar pun belum cukup untuk menutupi kebutuhan kita,”pungkasnya.(red)
