Majalengka, Kabarsebelas.com – Heboh, pekerjaan proyek jalan di Kecamatan Kertajati Majalengka terhenti ragara terhalang pohon jati yang berdiri kokoh di tengah pembangunan yang konon katanya umur pohon tersebut berusia ratusan tahun.
Masyarakat setempat pun mempercayai bahwa ketika pohon tersebut di tebang atau dipindahkan akan terjadi masalah. Kepercayaan atau mitos – mitos yang masih melekat dalam kehidupan masyarakat, ini biasanya dikait – kaitkan dengan kejadian masa lalu.
Padahal, tidak ada yang bisa memastikan kebenaran dari mitos yang berkembang dan dipercaya secara turun-menurun itu. Apalagi di era yang sudah modern ini.
Rencananya pohon yang konon katanya berusia ratusan tahun tersebut akan ditebang dan itu menjadi viral di media sosial. Karena, dinilai oleh masyarakat setempat mempunyai nilai sejarah terbentuknya Desa Kertajati.
Warga setempat pun berharap, agar pohon jati tersebut bisa tetap ditempatnya dan jika itu memang harus ditebang atau dipindahkan warga pun memastikan tidak ingin menanggung resiko jika sampai ada hal yang tidak diinginkan.
“Kami warga disini mempercayai bahwa pohon jati ini merupakan warisan sejarah dari terbentuknya Desa Kertajati, meski telah termakan usia, secara fakta tetap berdiri kokoh walau dihempas angin kencang,” ungkap Yaya Supriyatna didampingi warga setempat, Selasa (22/9/2020).
Masih katanya, sejak dahulu dipercaya banyak kejadian sebelum pohon jati tersebut ada ditempatnya.
“Salah satunya adalah pernah terjadi wabah penyakit, setelah orang tua terdahulu menancapkan pohon jati itu keadaan pun menjadi normal seperti biasa hingga kini,” paparnya.
Namun Disamapiakan Agus Kontraktor proyek jalan Kertajati, bahwa keberadaan pohon jati tersebut posisinya tepat berada di tengah pembangunan jalan Provinsi, yaitu pelebaran jalan Kadipaten – Jatitujuh sepanjang 5.1 KM yang kini telah berjalan dua bulan dengan menyerap anggaran sebesar Rp. 18 Miliar, warga dan pihak kontraktor bersepakat akan secepatnya melaksanakan musyawarah (berembug) mencari solusi terbaik yang nantinya akan difasilitasi oleh jajaran Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Kecamatan (Forkorpimcam).
“Aspirasi warga sangat kita hargai, toh pembangunan jalan ini juga kan untuk masyarakat pada umumnya. Jadi, sementara ditunda dulu pengerjaannya khusus untuk disekitan keberadaan pohon jati itu,” kata, Agus Ewok selaku pihak pelaksana proyek PT Berkah Bumi Ciherang (BBC) Bandung.
Sementara itu, Camat Kertajati Asep Rukanda kepada kabarsebelas.com saat ditemui mengatakan bahwa pihaknya akan segera memfasilitasi keinginan warga dan juga mendukung penuh pembangunan pelebaran jalan yang kini sedang dikerjakan.
“Tadi juga pihak kami telah berkoordinasi dengan pihak kontraktor, dan mereka siap untuk sama sama mencari solusi terbaik atas keinginan warga,” jelasnya.
Camat menambahkan, sudah pasti mereka mengerjakan proyek kan berdasarkan waktu terget pengerjaan dan keinginan warga juga perlu dipertimbangkan.
“Pohon Jati Pereket ini memang telah dipercaya oleh warga sejak lama secara turun temurun, hasil musyawarah secepatnya akan disampaikan kembali,” pungkasnya.(Sigit)
