Karawang, Kabarsebelas.com – Untuk memastikan penerapan protokol kesehatan pada hari pencoblosan, Badan Pengawas Pemilu (Bawaslu) Republik Indonesia turun langsung meninjau di beberapa tempat pemungutan suara (TPS) di Kabupaten Karawang.
Tinjauan Bawaslu RI, Fritz Edwar Siregar di setiap TPS di Karawang didampingi oleh Ketua KPU Karawang Miftah Farid, dan Ketua Bawaslu Karawang, Kursin Kurniawan.
Salah satu TPS yang di kunjungi oleh Bawaslu RI yaitu TPS 022 di Desa Nagasari yang terletak di GOR Panatayudha, Kabupaten Karawang.
“Jadi ini bagian dari tugas kami sebagai fungsi pengawasan di hari pencoblosan. Kita melihat bagaimana kesiapan saat pencoblosan,”Ujar Fritz Edward Siregar saat meninjau TPS di Karawang, Rabu (9/12/2020).
Menurut Fritz, Pilkada kali ini berbeda dengan sebelumnya, karena di gelar di tengah pandemi Covid-19. Jadi penyelenggara diwajibkan menerapkan protokol kesehatan untuk menghindari terjadinya klaster baru.
“Ini merupakan tantangan bersama bagi para penyelenggara baik itu KPU dan Bawaslu untuk mensukseskan jalannya Pilkada serentak namun tetap mengedepankan protokol kesehatan,”katanya.
Fritz menambahkan, Bawaslu RI mengapresiasi pihak penyelenggara di Kabupaten Karawang yang telah menerapkan protokol kesehatan, beberapa TPS pun juga telah menyiapkan APD, tempat cuci tangan, hingga pemberian sarung tangan plastik pagi calon pemilih.
“Tadi saya liat, protokol kesehatan sudah diterapkan mulai pemberian sarung tangan plastik, pengukur suhu tubuh, dan kita lihat juga tidak ada kekurangan logistik di Pilkada Karawang,”jelasnya.
Selain itu, beberapa TPS yang kategori Rawan Banjir pun juga telah digeser untuk antisipasi terjadinya bencana. Ini menunjukan kesiapan penyelenggara dalam Pilkada kali ini.
“Ini merupakan langkah preventif, karena kita tahu ini juga sudah mulai mendung ya, kita berharap hak pilih masyarakat bisa kita lindungi,” katanya.
Selanjutnya Fritz juga akan memantau TPS yang ada di lembaga pemasyarakatan di Kabupaten Karawang.(red)
